I Bring You

Safe skin friendly materials (non-toxic, hyper-allergenic, water-based professional theatrical makeup).

* Fast quality work.

* Fun creative designs.

* Happy holiday atmosphere.

* Fantasy faces are great fun for all ages.

* From the simplest design like the Ice Princess to a roaring Cheetah, everyone likes to get in on the act!

I do not dress up as clowns or other characters. Many small children are absolutely terrified of adults in costume.

Face painting is invasive to personal space, requiring the artist to get really close to the face. I dress in normal clothing appropriate to the event.

Rates

I offer special discounted rates for children's birthday parties and other small family events.

All rates depend on the size/length of the party and the location. Minimum time 1.5 hours with half-hour pricing increments thereafter.

more about my service

I dedicated to providing the most hygienic service possible. I use a clean sponge for each and every client. I do however appreciate being presented with clean faces to be painted. Please wipe noses too. All kit is thoroughly cleaned after each event. Sponges are cleaned in the washing machine on the 95°C cycle and brushes are washed with hot soapy water and a cosmetic brush cleanser. I use only the highest quality, imported, professional products, which are designed for use on the skin. My paints are hypoallergenic and comply with stringent FDA and/or EEC cosmetic directives. However, this does not preclude an allergic reaction and the face painter will not be liable for allergic reactions to paints. If your child has very sensitive skin, or is allergic to a range of common products, please do discuss this before the child is painted. It is always possible to carry out a patch test, or to paint a small design on the hand (where skin is less sensitive) to be on the safe side. Face paint is not recommended for children under 2 years old. If a child is reluctant to have his or her face painted, the painter will not comply with the wishes of the parent over the desire of the child! Young children do not always understand face painting - someone they do not know is doing something to them, which they cannot see - so a small design on the hand may be more enjoyable for them. They can see what is being done, feel in control of the situation, and can look at it and enjoy it for the rest of the day. I will not paint anyone who, in the opinion of the painter, appears to be suffering from a cold sore, conjunctivitis or any other infectious skin complaint. Similarly, eczema, open cuts and grazes are not suitable surfaces to paint. However, a design on the cheek, hand or arm is perfectly possible. I'm unable to paint anyone suffering from cold/flu symptoms. Hay fever sufferers are advised to have a design on the cheek or hand. I reserve the right to refuse to paint anyone who is abusive, violent, or intoxicated. The best way to wash off our face paint is to use a wet flannel. It is not normally necessary to use soap. NB: Baby wipes are made for little bottoms and some brands can cause a reaction on facial skin. My face paints generally wash off clothing very easily. The face painter will exercise reasonable caution but will not be responsible for damage to clothing or property. Please do not touch, or allow children to touch or play with the paints and equipment. For safety reasons, children (and adults) are not permitted to play in the my work area and the face painter will not be liable for any damage or injuries should this occur.
